AVEA CRNA was founded by two Florida-based CRNAs and a healthcare executive with over 45 combined years in the OR, the ICU, and everything in between. When our co-founder Kristin decided to go 1099, the hard part wasn't the clinical work. What followed was CV ownership games, outdated rates, recruiters who couldn't answer basic clinical questions — and a process designed to benefit everyone except the CRNA.

We tried direct contracts and hit walls. We watched facilities struggle to fill critical roles while experienced CRNAs sat frustrated on the sidelines. The gap wasn't clinical expertise — it was a fundamentally broken recruiting system.

So we sat down as a team and asked: what would recruiting look like if it was built for the CRNA first?
