Join a tight-knit, well-respected anesthesia team at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom — independent CRNA practice, no call required, and four-season outdoor living minutes from the Canadian border.
The Role
- ✓Independent CRNA model — no collaborative physician agreement required
- ✓Non-call position, with the option to take call once trust is built with the team
- ✓General surgery, OB/labor & delivery, ENT, orthopedics; anesthesia blocks and urgent consults for pain management (not full pain-clinic scope)
- ✓Low pediatric volume — if any, mostly ENT cases (ear tubes, occasional appendectomy)
- ✓Joining a tight-knit, well-respected anesthesia team
Credentialing
- ✓Electronic application — temporary privileging within 24 hours of a completed file
- ✓DEA registration with a Vermont address required before first shift (can be expedited through the Boston DEA office)
- ✓Current immunizations and titers required
- ✓VT license required — no reciprocity; allow ~8 weeks (IMLC-compact holders typically move faster)
Housing & Travel
- ✓Hospital-provided, fully furnished 2-bedroom condo (Airbnb available too)
- ✓Airfare and rental car included; if traveling once per month, airfare is negotiable above the all-inclusive rate
- ✓Best airport options: Manchester, NH (~2 hrs) or Hartford, CT (~2.5 hrs); Boston also workable — a rental car is needed from any of them
